There are several reasons why I am honored to introduce OUR Spokane Magazine, but will only share my most intimate. Simply put, I was born and raised here. I have lived in the Valley area my entire life, it is where my roots run deep, and I am blessed because of it.

Over the years and along with other life timers, I have witnessed rapid growth in Spokane. I have to admit, it has been unsettling at times, the uncertainty... Will we be transformed into one of those big cities where there is no familiarity?

This year, that thought has been laid to rest. What I see when I drive around this amazing city, is wealth. I am not speaking solely in a monetary fashion. Yes, newcomers are arriving, and we are fortunate to have such passionate people, eager to pursue dreams enter through our city gates. You can agree with me as I add, our community is benefitting from such individuals and families.

I am confident that many of you have yearned for this expansion. Honestly speaking, I am grateful, not only to be enthusiastic about the "big city" businesses and restaurants flowing through our downtown and surrounding areas, but also to be a partner in this growth.

In light of this, we gladly extend to Spokane readers a new and cutting edge magazine. It defines the cultural gifts Spokane has to offer in fashion, entertainment, health and beauty. Inside this issue and every one that follows, we will present you with lifestyle, all around.

For instance, Spokane is celebrating spring with the much anticipated, 2007 Women’s Show, at the Convention Center. I can’t foresee a more perfect way to initiate my favorite time of year. Spring is a season of rebirth and growth, lets embrace it together, in its fullest.
