I Love this Serum
News and Culture | Christina | October 11, 2012 at 8:50 pmI have been a self described “health nut” my whole life and as such have long believed in the power of a healthy diet, plenty of exercise and the benefits of using natural products. My skin care routine in my youth was not very involved, my routine was to splash a little water on my face and move on. Unfortunately, I didn’t understand the dangers of overexposure to the sun and the benefit of using sunscreen. I loved a good tan and although it looked great when I was young, my skin has suffered from the time I spent in the sun.
I am in great shape physically and feel so youthful, but my skin tells my age. I have discoloration on my cheeks and nose, “age spots” I guess you would call them. And of course, crow’s feet, which few of us escape. Mine are particularly pronounced. To be honest, the wrinkles don’t bother me too much, it is mainly the discoloration that makes me feel self conscious. I was certain that apart from chemical peels or other medical procedures that I consider dangerous and not worth the risk, there was really no solution, until a close friend of mine recommended purchasing a good Vitamin C Serum.
Not only does Vitamin C heal free radical damage and reduce UV generated sun damage, but it also is a natural skin lightener and fades discoloration. I use a stable form of Vitamin C called sodium ascorbyl phosphate which is extremely bioavailable and is readily absorbed by the skin. The serum I use also contains ferulic acid, which plumps the skin, as well as ferulic acid and Vitamin E, which boost the free radical scavenging benefits of this powerful antioxidant. My serum aids in cellular renewal and lightens discoloration while protecting my skin from further damage. Plus, as soon as I apply it, my skin plumps right up from the hyaluronic acid which makes my wrinkles appear much less pronounced. It is amazing!
