Luther’s Bible
The Luther Bible was not the first German Translation of the Bible, say Houston Translation workers. However, it was the most influential. By the time scholars had preferred to write in Latin and only few people could read their works. Luther wanted to make it possible more people to read and understand the Bible. During his translation, he would make forays into the nearby towns and markets to hear people speak, so that he could use the language their language in his translation. Making the Bible accessible to the commons Luther reformed religion thus establishing a law and moral teachings which everyone could abide by.
